4JM’s Chinese Word Cloud
We already know Mandarin numbers and colours, a bit about calligraphy and some interesting things about the Great Wall. Some of us can find China on a map of the world.
We would like to have Chinese penfriends and find out more about the Olympics and Chinese school.
Can you see something in our word cloud that we don’t eat in the UK, but which you might eat in southern China?
5LO’s Chinese Word Cloud
We already know numbers and colours, and have found out about the Great Wall and the Terracotta Army.
We’ve got lots of questions about China – what is school like there? Do you have to pay to go? What is the weather like in the North/South of China? Do they have a president? What colour are the Army’s uniforms?
Can you see the Chinese characters in our word cloud?
5HR ‘s Chinese Word Cloud
We already know a lot about China and Mandarin Chinese – we know some numbers and colours, we know that the population of China is 1.3 billion and we know a lot about the Terracotta Army.
We want to find out more about Chinese school and sports, shops, beaches, music and animals.
Can you find some of these topics in the cloud?
Year 1 and 2 have been reading the book ‘Toutes Les Couleurs’, here is one of our talented French language learners reading the book to his pals!
We are learning the colours in Year 5 in Mandarin. We are being motivated by jelly beans! Here are some of the colours and some of the lyrics.

More French towns projects were presented today. Some amazing paper projects in 6LC and some great google docs PowerPoints and a Wix website! Even more gateaux were baked for teachers, very popular in the staff room! These projects will be shared with Year 3 so that they can find out about towns in France.
I will post the links to these shortly.
