Beijing’s Olympic National Stadium (国家体育场)

Also known as the Bird’s Nest (鸟巢). Can you guess why?

Pao Pao, Mr Hunter and I visited the Olympic Stadium. It was spectacular, a really large structure that can hold 91, 000 spectators. Beijing No. 2 Primary School used the stadium for their sports day, where 15, 00o family members came to watch. They even had their own opening ceremony.

One World One Dream

Check out the Beijing 2008 Olympics Opening Ceremony. Can imagine what the London 2012 Olympics Ceremony would be like? Would you want to take part? Either in the ceremony or in the competition? Which sport would you want to do?

If you can answer these questions, you can get a raffle ticket;

What do the Olympic rings symbolise?

How many Olympic Games have there been?

Where did the Olympic Games originate?

What is the Olympic Motto?

These are the Beijing Olympic Characters, what are the London 2012 characters?
